About Us

The Liberty Discussion Group promotes the ideals of our founding fathers. We believe that life, liberty and property are gifts from God. These three gifts precede all human legislation and are therefore superior to it. We believe each of us has a natural right from God to defend his life, his liberty and his property and that a godly government is nothing more than the organization of a common force to secure these inalienable rights. Thus, the principle of the collective right is based upon the individual right. Since an individual cannot lawfully use force against another person’s life, liberty or property, neither can a collective group or government. We believe there are simple and straightforward solutions to our nation’s economic and moral crisis that are not yet part of the public discussion. We believe the church is to adhere to godly principles and not settle for political pragmatism. We stand with the courageous men and women of faith who refused to conform to immoral state law. Men and women such as Moses, the Hebrew Midwives, Nathan, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Daniel, Mordecai and Esther, Peter and Paul, Martin Luther, Sir Thomas More, Calvin and the pastors who assembled in the Westminster Abbey against the wishes of Charles I . We believe patriotism is loyalty to the principles upon which our nation was established not the latest policies coming from our nation’s capital. We believe governments, like people, are not allowed to do evil that good may result. We believe we are unknowingly promoting incompatible ideas and as such are destroying the foundation of our nation. And finally, we believe with God all things are possible. It is not by our might or our power but by His spirit that victory will come.
